“Prof. Varkey Philip, an alumnus of the prestigious College of Engineering, Trivandrum was also a member of the faculty of Mechanical Engineering in the same college. While serving as Professor, he was also in charge of the Placement Unit of the college and in his time (1998 – 2001) the placements rose to never before heights. After retiring in 2004 from the Govt. Engineering College, Barton Hill as its Principal in Charge, he joined the Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Kochi as its Placement Coordinator and was instrumental in leap frogging placements right from its first batch. He is a skilled motivator of students and his long experience in recruitment process together with his vast contacts with officials of different companies makes him invaluable as a placement consultant.”
