It is the study, design, development, implementation, support and management of computer based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware. Due to increasing demand for qualified IT professionals, it has become the most preferred career option all over the world for enterprising and growth oriented people. Information Technology being the foundation of modern communication demands professionally competent information technologists. The department of IT has bloomed into an excellent education center to meet this demand and strides in improving skills, taking into account the technological advancement and the information explosion.Department has the strength of the 60 seats in each batch with well qualified and industry experience staff strength of 14 maintaining the student: faculty ratio.

The department came into existence in the year 2002 and is today well established with advanced laboratories, latest software and a blend of young and experienced faculty. The course is designed to prepare engineers for IT-enabled applications and services. The engineering graduate in IT would be capable of bringing a holistic approach to the designing, testing, and maintenance of Information Systems.The department has successfully executed its exemplary duties by passing out 6 batches of Information technology Graduates from these institutions.
