In the current economic scenario where gloom and doom are the frequently used words, a fresh breeze sending warmth and hope among the student community has spread out from the Mangalam Campus at Ettumannur, Kottayam where on the 10th& 11th of October 2013, Bloomberg, a leading Financial Information and News Broadcasting Company, conducted their Placement Activity Programme, the Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT).
The programme was a resounding success as more than 1500 students participated in the event from 19 colleges across Kerala. This was a unique and golden opportunity for students in Kerala as this examination gives an opportunity to each student to showcase their innate talents to some of the top global financial companies in the world through Bloomberg. Major Financial Companies normally do not visit tier 2, 3 or 4 colleges.Students appearing and doing well in this examination are noticed and snapped up by the TOP GLOBAL FINANCIALCOMPANIES OF THE WORLD.

The Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT) is designed to assess a student’s financial knowledge and a variety of comprehensive skills relevant to opportunities within the business world. It has Eight Sections wherein the studentsare tested and the student has the choice to choose the area pertaining to his/her discipline or field of study. The Eight Sections are News Analysis, Economics, Math, Analytical Reasoning, Financial Statements, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Chart and Graph Analysis.
Each student who takes the BAT is entered into the BAT Talent Search Database, which allows employers all over the world to contact the candidate for internship and entry-level positions based solely on their test performance. The Talent Search Database offers exposure to various international companies, the top investment banks, hedge funds, and private equity firms.
