This will familiarize the young engineering aspirants to the world of basic electronic devices and systems. Here students are given experiments involving working of basic electronic components and equipments. They are made to test the working of various active devices studied in electronic devices by verifying the characteristics of the devices with reference to specifications given in data sheets. So the smaller minds will be capable of taking the high level devices in the coming future by knowing the principles of basic systems.

The Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory aims in inculcating the knowledge of programming skills by executing various programs like arithmetic operations, code conversions, searching and sorting algorithms studied in the Microprocessor and Microcontroller . The lab is also used by the students to interface the microprocessor and microcontroller to various peripheral devices to generate waveforms, perform A/D and D/A conversions, Displays, Digital clock. This will make the students to design user friendly systems like mobile phones and other cut in technologies.

Communication and IC Lab.
The lab is used to keep the students in touch with the latest systems in communication and IC technology. This lab will help them to use the ICs in various digital and analog circuits , to create electronic systems ranges from very simple devices like adders, subtractor, code converters, comparators, multiplexers, flip-flops, counters, shift registers and sequence detectors to very complex systems like an entire communication network. That may be a television, a mobile network , a satellite communication system or even a RADAR.
