Currently, a complete revamping in Engineering Education Sector is a dire need of time. Hence, Mangalam through its brand as a media giant in Kerala, is coming up with a new and highly expecting concept christened as “Kottayam_TECHNOLODGE”.
“TECHNOLODGE” is being overseen by the Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure (KSITIL), a state government-promoted company Kerala government initiative focused to promote service and technology oriented industry related companies to operate from low cost rural centers and thereby to create employment in rural areas. The Techno-Lodges supplement the local economy by creating jobs for the unemployed youths. The mission is to encourage rural employment generation and rural entrepreneur’s development. To make this initiative more vibrant in nature the government decided to stretch tentacles of the concept to a PPP modal (Private Public Partnership). For this the government started giving licenses to independent private establishments and higher technical educations institutions to operate “TECHNOLODGE” as a licensee of the government. The issuance of license is strictly on the evaluation of the infrastructure capabilities provided by the establishments and institutions.
In addition to this “TECHNOLODGE” is designed to provide a springboard to budding entrepreneurs who wish to launch themselves into the world of technology or service based business careers.
